  • What is AR Technology?

The NF membrane (depending on the version) and RO membrane lower the pH of raw water between pH 0.3 and pH 1.8. AR stands for alkaline regulator, or pH regulator. Raw water pH is reduced more by a membrane with a high rejection rate and less by one with a low rejection rate. To obtain a balanced pH in drinking water, a pH cartridge or AAA filter is an additional filter that is used in conjunction with a regulator to improve the pH of membrane-treated water.

  • How the pH/AAA filter works?

The pH cartridge/filter is filled with granules of coconut shell charcoal and ceramic balls, which are natural stones. These stones add certain important minerals, primarily calcium and magnesium, and have a high alkaline character. As water flows by, it increases pH and absorbs some minerals (up to a maximum of 60 ppm with 100% capacity). Enhancing pH, not minerals, is the essential goal. To obtain a balanced pH in drinking water, the valve primarily needs to open to 20% of its capacity.

  • Why UV is not used in some KNL water purifier models?

The RO membrane's pore size is 0.0001 microns, while the NF membrane's pore size ranges from 0.0015 to 0.0002 microns depending on its variation. For the membrane to function correctly, pressure is therefore required. Arsenic, fluoride, bromide, mercury, lead, pesticides, heavy metals, and bacteria are among the contaminants found in the water. The size of the contaminants' and germs' molecules is 0.01 microns and up. The NF or RO membrane is sufficient enough to remove all the contaminants and germs. As a result, the SS UV is regarded as an optional component.

  • Why detachable and transparent storage tank is essential part?

Please note, where water and air with oxygen, the life is possible and as a result, the germs may grow in your storage tank if not cleaned for more than a month time. Apart from germs, with more TDS scaling would be faster, the storage tank getting grayish and dirty too. With air the moving particles of dust comes in while we take water from the purifier. Therefore the purifier storage tank must be easily detachable and restorable so that the user can do self-cleaning but frequently technician visit will not be affordable for everyone.

  • What is the schedule of services & annual maintenance cost?

    • 1. The storage tank must be cleaned at least once in a month.
    • 2. The spun filter fitted in prefilter need to replace at interval of 5-6 months in normal water conditions. In case of visibly dirty water, the same may need to replace more frequently.
    • 3. Inside, there are inline filters with a 10000 litres service life, and each NF membrane has a lifespan of about 15000 litres or 18 months, whichever comes first from the date of purchase. However, the quality of the water can also affect how long filters last; in certain situations, this can be less.
    • 4. The annual maintenance cost with AR technology comes around 3000 per year and without AR model around 2200/- per annum including Technician cost (conditions applied).
  • To whom service requests or purifier complaints should be directed.

All the services/complaint pertaining to your KNL Healthy Drops water purifier must be routed through KNL Customer care using WhatsApp/call on 7303433313. The technician of your locality should not be entertained directly else he may misled you due to not having sufficient knowledge or may be with bad intention. The warranty of the purifier would turn void completely if unauthorized services used without informing to us.

  • How to know KNL service availability in my location?

We use approved service associates or third parties in the relevant locations to deliver PAN India services. But in some cases or remote area the service may not be available. In such cases, user can check the service availability in his/her locality by calling/WhatsApp on 7303433313.

  • What are the accessories included?

The Box contains all the accessories including prefilter fitted with spun except PRV. PRV (Pressure reducer valve) used to control tap water pressure in case of high rise building or where the tap water pressure is more than the required.

  • How do I choose the best water filter for me?

To choose the ideal purifier for your kitchen or house, follow these instructions.

    • 1. Verify the TDS of the feed or source water. Whether bore and municipal water are combined or made available in different ways.
    • 2. You can check the TDS with a TDS meter or with the assistance of a local RO professional.
    • 3. Select the model based on the TDS of your tap water.
  • Do you have the option to adjust TDS?

WE don’t use TDS adjuster/controller in our water purifier but totally based on NF20/NF40/NF60/NF80 and RO membrane based technology. The TDS controller allows impurities back in your drinking water.

  • Is it necessary to replace the entire purifier or just the membrane in the event of relocation?

Models of KNL purifiers are based on membrane variants; the remaining parts are common and only need to replace appropriate NF or RO membrane.

  • Is UV barrel/chamber placed horizontally or vertically?

The SS 304 grade UV chamber is placed horizontally in our water purifier but technically the point is not much relevant but SS 304 grade is important part. SS 304 having 3 time more density compare to aluminum, as a result maintains better darkness to work UV rays more effectively. The aluminum is also reactive with water and leaches aluminum oxide which is not safe for health in long run.

  • Is it compulsory to use SS storage tank?

Please note all the accessories, candles including membranes are made in plastic. The plastic should be food grade/ABS and nontoxic. The water flows from these filters/candles 24 x 7 and in case if machine is powered off, still water remain filled in these. Just using storage tank in SS will not be fruitful but may be strong compared to ABS/Food grade plastic storage tank.
